Challenge 2

How can schools and learning environments for children and youth go global today?
Today the class started by introducing oneself towards the whole class. This was a good thing to do

because we do not know the exchange-students who are in our class.

We were supposed to explain the differences between 'globalization and internationalization'.

This we had to do in groups of four-five persons where we had to discuss what ''internationalization'' and

''globalization'' are. This we discussed in groups and as a whole class. Afterwards we had to write the

words on two pieces of big papers.

After we did that we had to discuss the words written on the papers.

We also discussed about how to make the class for the pupils more interesting (guitar etc.)

A child becomes openminded when learning about other and different cultures. Otherwise they would be narrow-minded and unable to understand other cultures.

  • Globalization: expanding something, crossing borders, people, multicultural, to extend to other or all parts of the globe,
  • Internationalization: exchange, out sourcing, nation structure, economy and politics between nations, reintegrate
