Challenge 6
The class started with a question from the PowerPointShow Marcus had made for the class:
What is the third world and why are some countries developing while others claim to be developed ?
Then we had to join our groups from last time. Afterwards we were given a piece of paper with 8 questions concerning element that could have a relation to Globalization.
We were given 5 min to answer these questions.
We then got some reading material we had to read and we were given 30 min to do so. Afterwards we had to discuss it in our groups.
When our dinner-break had ended there were some prizes for the two winners who had 5 correct answers from our task based on the 8 questions. The prize was an item that looked like a trophy. It was pretty. Marcus told us that it was know to bring luck - but I am not that naive to believe so.
Ironically I was one of the winners! Happy to be so !
There were some very interesting conversation going on in my group which motivated me to know more about the different countries and their culture. I realized that despite the huge dissimilarities there are between the different countries - many similarities are also to be found. We always seem to find less positive things to say about others cultures but not realizing the negativity there lies in our own danish culture.
